I'm tired of launchers.

I'm tired of launchers. I'm not sure what benefit game companies derive from these things (by all means, if you know, tell me.) I can only imagine its having your email on a mailing list, and maybe being able to tie play data to an account.

I was furious when geforce experience, a genuinely useful app suddenly decided it was going to require a login. I have to recover my password for this damn thing all the time. Why do I need a password to automatically update my drivers or change settings? Cyberpunk now wants me to login. And I was furious to find out that Baldur's Gate 3, an otherwise AMAZING game, also wants me to login.

I don't want to have to create a <insert M rated word here> account to login every time I want to play a <insert M rated word here> game.

And I have to see the damn thing everytime I fire the game up. At least the Fallout 4/Skyrim launchers provide some functionality and don't ask you to make a bethesda account.

This sucks. Game Devs? Please STOP.

EDIT: To clarify: I'm talking per game launchers like the ones attached to cyberpunk, Xcom 2, BG3, ect. GOG, Steam, Epic game store are all game STORES and while it's annoying to have to launch mutiple programs to play a game library, it's at least understandable.

I don't mean to alarm anyone but these are actual PS2 graphics!

Games that you can finish at the start?

Does anyone know games that you can finish at the very start? In Super Paper Mario on Wii, I remember that you can refuse to save the world and you get a Game Over. The credits don't roll... it'd be pretty funny if they did though lol.

"we made (one-way life decision) to develop this game, please try" ads about games is just bad ads

recently i have been seeing ads like, "we have:
- quit job
- quit school
- used all our funds
in order to create this game, please try it"
and tbh, this kind of ads made me not want to play that game anymore. if they made a normal trailer/ads i would have a different approach. what is your opinion?

Can we get a manhunt remaster/remake?

Such a neat little detail. When you step on the scale in Hitman (2016) the scale reads 47.0

Ew, this simplistic boring menu. The developers clearly didn’t care when making this. yucky

What game kept you thinking about it for a long time after beating it?

Has any other FPS game allowed for a full tumble when swimming underwater?

Bah, look at this terrible, simplistic menu. The developers CLEARLY didn't care when they were making this piece of shit!

The old Sega RPG "Phantasy Star III" has an interesting gimmick where at 2 points in the game, you choose a unique wife thereby creating a unique offspring who then becomes the new protagonist in the following chapter. Is there another game that has done anything similar?

Its really cool. If I remember correctly, you get to choose between 2 wives. A unique child is then formed and flash forward to that child being the new adult protagonist in the next chapter of the game. Then at some point that unique child gets a choice to wed between different women and creating a unique grand child. And it wasn't simply cosmetic, they had unique abilities based on their parents. I thought this gimmick was brilliant and curious if any other game has anything like that?

You know I never I thought I'd live to see a Dragon's Dogma 2 nor a remake of MG 3. Here's hoping I'm wrong about one more.

What obscure movie would make the best video game that hasn’t been adapted yet?

They keep making video games into movies but I’m curious if roles were reversed what would be the best movie that isn’t yet a video game? Would love to see Chronicle become some sort of game.

I miss the days where everyone had something unique and not the meta builds of every single game

Hoped on CoD for a while and almost everyone had the same couple of weapons laying on the ground when they died. It's whatever, it's just a shooting game right? And then I got on NBA2k cuz I haven't been on that in a long time. Every player does the same thing. Fine. Sure. I guess. Finally, while I'm sitting here at work I'm playing some Yugioh Master Duel, and my god this is what got on my last nerve. Everything is the same three decks being played. No one has anything that they built themselves and are beating people with. Just the same thing over and over in every game that I play. Content creators have really ruined games like this, as they always HAVE to show what meta thing is currently in the game.

Let's take Diablo for instance. Instead of just picking whatever class you wanted and having to go through the skill tree to find out what goes with what, you can just look up what does the most damage and be on your way. No uniqueness. No originality. Just straight boring things so you can look like you're the best at the game and blow through it.

What are some of the most gorgeous games you've ever played?

Games that make you stop whatever you're doing and just admire the scenery.....would love to hear your picks

What are some of the best FPS Single Player experiences apart from the Half-Life series?

Looking for some older games or hidden gems that have great SINGLE player campaigns with either great gameplay, story, concepts, or everything!

Half-Life is so good but there must be some others that if not on the same level are at least excellent.

Recommendations for some great Mods (eg Quake's Arcane Dimensions) of single player games would also be acceptable!

Mny thks

What game has the biggest difficulty spike?

You're playing a good game, having no issues. Then, without warning, the game suddenly becomes so hard you consider giving up...

What game(s) have made you feel like this?

I'm not talking games like Elden Ring that are hard from the start

I don't care what you say, I loved this one and I miss the days of couch co-op
