So this mission seems to come up with lots of issues on Reddit and other forums. You have either the option to keep Drinking Buddy, or sell him at the Hotel Rexford in Good Neighbor. I wanted to sell him, but accidentally chose to send him to Sanctuary. The quest is still incomplete, saying I still have the [optional] task of bringing him to Rexford.
Due to my OCD-ness, I would like to either get him to follow me again and sell him to close out the quest, or have him stay in Sanctuary and close out the [optional] portion of the quest.
Does anyone know if I can get him to refollow me? I've tried moving him through the workshop, and simply by talking to him, neither work. OR, is there a way to defer the [optional] piece of the quest for it to be considered completed?
