Rules Update: brigades, raids, and adult-oriented content creators.

We've made two changes to the rules for r/gaming.

For Rule 2, we've expanded the bandwagon rule to include brigade/raid posts. These types of posts are already against the reddit Terms of Service. Anyone encouraging users on this subreddit to raid other sites, discords, subreddits, etc will be permanently banned from r/gaming.

We've also added a specific mention of "pass it on" style memes/awareness campaigns. These are almost always not gaming related and encourage others to spam this subreddit and other subreddits with unrelated posts. They will be removed and the poster may be banned.

For Rule 4, we've seen a noticeable increase in people using all ages communities in an attempt to draw people into their profiles to sell adult content. As an all ages community that has a high number of underaged users, r/gaming is not an appropriate venue for this kind of post. We've added a rule that cosplayers who focus primarily on adult content will be removed.

Note that cosplay is allowed on r/gaming and harassment of these posters will not be tolerated. If you see a post that violates the rules, report it.

A detailed explanation of the rules of r/gaming is located here.
